Bonjour! Welcome to the world of all things unabashedly feminine and Parisian chic!

I wanted to begin by explaining a little bit about how the sharing of the design process will work here on Styled By Madalyn Joy. Every Friday morning I will be posting an Instagram teaser (@styledbymadalynjoy) of the inspiration board for the look that will be posted the following week. This will give you all a little taste of what is to come!

Each blog post will consist of two parts: inspiration/illustration and the completed look. Every Monday I will post the inspiration/illustration and on every Wednesday I will share the completed look. It is especially important to follow along on Instagram because that is where you will be able to see the inspiration, illustration, and completed look all in a progression side by side. I still get chills when I see the design come to life!

The inspiration behind this week's look is quite obviously Parisian chic, but more specifically I drew inspiration from Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific, Coco Chanel, The Ritz Paris, seaside living, classic black and white tile floors, and the essence of Parisian chic herself, Jenny Cipoletti of Margo & Me. There is just something so effortless about Parisian style that makes it truly aspirational.

My guesses are that if you are reading this post, you absolutely adore Parisian chic style too! What are your favorite aspects of Parisian style!? The black and white stripes? The pops of red? The ability to eat croissants and macarons and still look runway ready? If you have the answer to the last one, please share because I am dying to know!

Au Revoir!

xoxo
