I reached out to Jen Anderson of Speckled Blog to see if she would be interested in doing a collaboration. I was pleased to hear that she happily accepted my offer! Jen and I attend UW-Madison together and met through the student organization, Moda Magazine.
When I was brainstorming ideas of what to design for Jen, I remembered that one of her true passions was ballet and she had once had the opportunity to teach ballet in Paris for a summer. Doesn't that sound like a dream come true!? I definitely wanted to incorporate the blush, ballet pink into the design somehow as an ode to Jen's ballet days in Paris. We decided upon a blush pink satin pj short with a pale grey Latvian lace trim. Once the pj shorts were completed, I absolutely fell in love with how they turned out and wondered if Jen would really notice if they never made it to her doorstep. ;)
I was thrilled to hear that Jen loved the luxe pj shorts and that they fit her like a glove! We decided we wanted to photograph them in a way that felt very comfortable and cozy, just lounging in bed on a lazy weekend morning. The talented Alexandra Folino captured the mood perfectly through her beautiful photographs. The lighting added a gentle, soft, feminine touch to all of the images.
Thank you to this stellar girl boss team for such a beautiful collaboration. It was such a pleasure to work with both of you, Jen + Allie. I definitely hope it's not the last!
