I remember when La Tulipe first moved to downtown Port Washington and I was blown away by how cute the shop was and how amazing the flowers were. I would pop in randomly and bring friends to see the space just because I thought it was too darn cute! I got to know Vicki a little bit more each time I stopped by. I loved swinging by to grab a bouquet of flowers and candle for my studio. La Tulipe just added so much class to little downtown Port Washington!
So when Vicki told me she was moving to Cedarburg a couple of months ago, I was equally sad to see her go but also excited to see her embark on a new journey. She was telling me about her plans for her new quaint cottage studio space and it got me thinking about a possible collaboration. Fashion and flowers are a match made in heaven so why not combine them for a grand opening welcome party!?
Vicki agreed that it would be fun to bring the two worlds together and host a garden party at her new space as a way to welcome everyone. We dubbed it "A Midsummer Night's Garden Party" and it sure did live up to its name! There were gorgeous La Tulipe floral arrangements everywhere and the whole outdoor space just felt truly magical. It was an evening filled with fashion, flowers, and friends. The models just looked like little fairy goddesses prancing around in the grass with flower crowns and bare feet and all of the guests looked relaxed, joyful, and happy.
The garden party has been my favorite fashion event to date because everyone truly enjoyed themselves. No one was stressed about falling on the runway or making sure they hit their mark, but instead the evening was what summer should be about... enjoying quality time with friends in the summer air with a glass of bubbly in hand whilst smelling the roses.
I cannot thank Vicki of La Tulipe or Lottie Lillian of Lottie Lillian Photography enough! They both are such fabulous girl bosses that I truly am so blessed to know them and have them in my life. Vicki's floral arrangements are pure creative genius and absolutely breathtaking while Lottie captures every moment in such a beautiful, happy, and bright way. I already told Lottie I am reserving her to photograph my wedding someday! I haven't asked Vicki yet but I would love for her to do all my flowers at my wedding someday too! Trust me, it won't be for a while but when the time does come, I want only the most special people helping me celebrate my special day.
Thank you to the fabulous models for always bringing my designs to life in a way that I never imagined possible and thank you to Taylor and Robyn for making the models look their absolute best with gorgeous hair and makeup. Thank you to my fabulous intern, Vanali, who always is willing to lend a helping hand. Thank you to all the vendors and their gracious contributions to our garden party. Thank you to all of our guests who made the trip to Cedarburg and for simply having fun and enjoying yourselves! It truly was a team effort and I want to thank everyone that made this garden party possible. Here's to the next one! xoxo
